This course studies global catastrophe modeling and risk management with focus on China market from non-life insurance and reinsurance perspective. The current development on catastrophe modeling will be covered in-depth using examples from industry experience and applied research. Insurance portfolio management and global insurance regulation will be reviewed. Particular attention is also given to weather risk management with its application in energy supply industry.
