An introductory course in optics covering fundamentals of geometrical and physical optics. Topics include: review of geometrical optics, first order optical system and analysis, aberration, aperture and field stops; Basic wave theory, diffraction, interference, polarization, dispersion; fundamentals of optical instrumentation.
