This course will introduce students to fundamentals of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as the roles of entrepreneurship and innovation in the economy from an economist’s perspective. The course will be separated into two parts: the first part focuses on basic concepts and tools in Entrepreneurial Finance; the second part discusses topics related to Innovation Economics. The purpose of the class is twofold: first, students are expected to acquire the basic knowledge that helps them plan and launch entrepreneurial ventures as entrepreneurs and innovators; second, students are expected to understand the economic institutions where entrepreneurship and innovation take place.
