This course will start by looking into various categories of process reactors; how they are categorized, what they are best suited for and the possible constraints. It will also go through the general design base for most of the reactor types and will select one of the most commonly used (e.g. stirred tanks) for in-depth studies. Sharing on considerations such as operability, scalability, safety evaluation, control configuration will also be included.
