Description

The main focus of the course is to learn the role of central banks and how their monetary policy operations affect the economics and financial markets. The course work on both i) institutional details about how central banks make monetary policy decisions and communicate them to the market, and ii) analytical framework to use the data to learn the effect of central bank operations on financial markets. Students will be given a plenty of opportunities to conduct data analysis to study the monetary policy impact to financial markets and real economy.
