This is an independent study course. Students will be asked to work on a project on some topics in financial/actuarial mathematics. Topics includes (1) the application of statistics in portfolio management/risk management or (2) numerical algorithm for pricing complex financial derivatives. Students should seek the course instructor's approval to take this course.
