The capstone project aims to prepare students for conducting independent research in quantitative social science. Students will choose a topic, identify appropriate data and methodologies, design and execute an analysis, and write up and present the results. For the project, students will have a faculty mentor in Social Science to advise them on substantive aspects of the work, and optionally a co-mentor in Social Science or Math to advise them on methodological issues. For QSA students in their fourth year of study with approval of the course instructor. Graded DI, PA or F.
