The financial services industry is undergoing a paradigm shift. Emerging technologies like AI, ML, IoT and Blockchain, combined with customer expectations raised by the likes of Amazon and Uber are redefining how financial institutions deliver services. From the sea of startups happening around the world everyday, UBS Zurich needs a tool to efficiently and effectively identify high potential fintech and high-tech firms to enhance her own capabilities as well as incorporation into investment portfolio for her clients. Case challenge is, “How might we develop a tool to help UBS Zurich identify high potential venture investment opportunities using investment data in Crunchbase?” Students will be organized into teams, responsible for Web GUI front-end, server back-end using ML/Stat models and overall project management, business analysis, quality assurance of code development. This course is for T&M-DDP students only. Enrollment in the project course requires approval of the course instructor.
