Description

This course will focus on multi-agent decision making problems in Civil Engineering. We will formulate and analyze the interactions among multiple strategic decision makers using mathematical tools from optimization and game theory. In the context of Smart Cities, we will primarily focus on decision makers in modern power and transport systems, such as energy consumers (buildings, electric vehicles), energy producers, mobility-on-demand customers, etc. Through lectures, assignments and reading, students will learn state-of-the-art models and tools to identify, formulate, and address emerging challenges in the smart city development.
