This is an experiential-learning project where student-consultants will help Arup, a global design and business consulting firm, to create new services offering for retrofitting Hong Kong’s energy inefficient high-rise commercial buildings to be in line with the city’s target to be carbon neutral by 2050. There will be five to six class meetings Arup and other subject experts will come into the classroom. Each team will be assigned team coach from Arup and IBM consulting. Students will gain confidence to use McKinsey Engagement Methodology, MECE frameworks, Design Thinking and advanced technologies and business strategies in a real situation with real constraints. This course is open to all students with priority given to T&M-DDP students. Please submit transcript and CV for instructor consent before course enrollment in SIS.
