Description

This course is an introduction to physical oceanography that includes topics such as physical description of the sea, physical properties of seawater, methods and measurements, wind-driven ocean circulation, abyssal ocean circulation, boundary processes, and wave motions. Large-scale distributions and processes that are central to the ocean’s role in Earth’s climate and biosphere will also be addressed and discussed.
