This course introduces the technical aspects of key technologies, reviews their impacts on global security, and explores how states and the international community manage these risks. Technologies such as AI, biotechnology, nuclear technology, quantum computing and other technologies with geopolitical importance are reviewed. The goal of this course is to equip students with basic knowledge on technologies that are shaping the international order to better understand their impacts and respond to them when in leadership positions.
