Description

This course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of food science (chemistry, nutrition, microbiology, etc.) and safety issues for daily consumption, and preliminary perspective for further exploration on food processing technologies. This course also emphasizes critical thinking skills, helps students to tell the truth/myth of healthy products, food additives, and genetically modified foods, and make a wise judgement for food consumption.
