The course aims to provide beginners with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles of modern astronomy. Key topics include origins and ancient roots of astronomy, scientific principles that underpin our understanding of the universe, lunar phases, eclipses, solar system, Newton's law of gravitation and Kepler's laws of planetary motion, stellar evolution, white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes, galaxies and the expansion of the universe, dark matter and dark energy.
