2025-26 Fall - BIEN6930G - Biomolecular Imaging

Course

Description

Instructor(s)/Supervisor(s)/Coordinator(s): Yuxing YAO
Students taking this course will learn how different forms of energy are used in combination with chemical and biological probes to obtain molecular-level information about biological systems in research and medicine. The course will cover the physical principles underlying fluorescence, ultrasound imaging, photoacoustic imaging and other imaging techniques. We will further discuss the chemistry/materials design of static and dynamic molecular imaging agents that work with each modality. Graded P or F.
