The course is aimed at providing students with insights into how to deal with environmental problems and the way in which science interfaces with policies and public health. It will cover major topics on the sources of air pollution, air chemistry, oxidation of organic compounds and issues on control of air pollutant emissions and air quality management. The course introduces interactions among economic development, pollutant emission, and health risk, as well as discussing the effectiveness of government and public management on sustainable development in the fields of environment and climate change.
