Instructor(s)/Supervisor(s)/Coordinator(s): Jianxiong MAThis introductory course aims to study the relationship between "culture" and the "environment" and the impacts of cultural mechanisms on resource management, population and health practices in different cultural settings. Some topics about human adaptive strategies, such as types of production and consumption in different societies related to horticulture, maritime, pastoralism and labor intensive agriculture will be discussed.
