This course investigates the convergence of art, web3, blockchain technology, and digital identity management. It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how these technologies are reshaping the landscape of digital creations, including games, edutainment, AR/VR experiences, films, 3D digital artifacts, music, and more. Students will explore the concepts of metadata and Art ID for effective categorization and ownership tracking of diverse digital works. Through lectures, discussions, case studies, and hands-on workshops, participants will learn to create and manage their digital creations while considering the legal, ethical, and market implications associated with blockchain and Web3 technologies. The course emphasizes the transformative potential of blockchain and Web3 / NFTs in establishing ownership, authenticity, and support for new monetization avenues across various forms of digital art and creative expressions.
