Students will develop an understanding of how advanced technology and sustainable practices are influencing the built environment. The course includes a collaborative group project that encourages students to critically analyze recent civil engineering developments globally. Additionally, students may participate in optional site visits to ongoing civil engineering projects and operational facilities, providing practical insights into the skills and competencies necessary for designing, constructing, and managing engineering projects. By engaging in this course, students will gain knowledge and skills relevant to addressing the infrastructure needs of the future while considering sustainability and resilience in engineering practices.
