Called environmental risks, they adversely affect human health, economic development, and social stability. In this course, students will explore methods and frameworks for assessing and managing these risks, with a focus on key concepts such as vulnerability, exposure, risk perception, and the precautionary principle. The course will also examine the critical roles of government policies and business practices in environmental decision-making, alongside the importance of transparent reporting and public engagement. Through practical workshops and real-world case studies, students will apply their knowledge to navigate climate and nature-related risks while understanding how these challenges intersect with social justice issues.
