Instructor(s)/Supervisor(s)/Coordinator(s): Baryon Tensor POSADASThis course will revolve around discussions of contemporary media theories, ranging from foundational texts on apparatus theory to more recent approaches to newer forms of digital media. Beginning with approaches to early cinema as our point of departure, we will take up a range of questions revolving around debates around technology and history, gender and affect, national and oppositional cinema, and animation and new media.
