Instructor(s)/Supervisor(s)/Coordinator(s): Tracy PY MOKThis course explores the transformative impact of Industry 4.0 on manufacturing, supply chains, and business models, with a specific focus on the fashion and textiles sector. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, and field visits, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the operational dynamics of the fashion and textiles industry and the challenges it faces in the era of digital transformation. Students will be required to critically review and evaluate emerging technologies - such as IoT, AI, robotics, big data, and cyber-physical systems - that are driving the Industry 4.0 revolution. Students will also engage in interdisciplinary projects that address certain real-world challenges of the fashion and textiles industry.
