It is divided into six interconnected modules, focusing on the global governance of poverty and inequality, finance and financial crises, taxation and offshore tax dodging, climate change and ecocide, peace and security, and corporate power and accountability, with each module emphasizing the role of disruptive technological advances like generative artificial intelligence, decentralized finance, digitalization and dematerialization of the economy, decarbonization of production, uncrewed and autonomous systems, social media algorithms, and more. Students will be equipped with the necessary skills to analyze these global challenges, assess the opportunities and threats posed by key technologies, and formulate their own solutions. The course will appeal to students pursuing careers in national and international public administrations, consulting and advisory firms, corporate compliance departments, think tanks, civil society organizations, news media outlets, and other relevant bodies.
