Topics covered include: 1. Hong Kong as one of the pillars of the Greater Bay Area: understanding the GBA in the Greater China context. 2. Hong Kong as an international finance center, with focus on sustainable and green finance and asset management. 3. Hong Kong as a super-value adder and connector in the field of technology and innovation and entrepreneurship. 4. Hong Kong as an international center for family business and family office, and wealth creation. We will spend time in class discussing current events, such as the impact of technology changes on financial institutions. The goal is to provide the students with a sound understanding of economic, social, financial and geopolitical issues through the lens of Hong Kong. Instructor’s approval is required for course enrollment.
