Replication and Supplementary Data

Dataset about historical electricity consumption and corresponding emissions of data centers, telecommunication networks, and cloud computing services between 2017-2022 for Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. The dataset provides a range of reference data, such as: total data volume circulated in the three countries, calculated energy and carbon intensity from the national grid (averages), sensitivity study for hosting cloud computing services in different regions worldwide (East Europe and Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa, Balkans and Turkey, Central Asia)
