Abstract
Three-dimensional turbulent viscous flow analyses for the GAMM workshop elbow draft tube and Francis runner are performed by solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations closed with a two-equation turbulence model. Implications of both numerical and physical issues on the prediction capabilities have been discussed in the context of design applications.
