Abstract

The implementation of vibration control system has always been associated with the huge capital and longstanding maintenance costs, resulting in the limited applications of damping devices. One of the possible reasons for the notion of the massive implementation cost is the lack of literatures on the cost analysis of vibration control systems. This paper presents the results of a collaborative study with damper construction companies, facilitating the acceptance of full-scale implementation of control devices.
