Abstract
During the last decade, automatic office document systems have been evolved with advances in microprocessors, low cost memories, and peripherals. Text processing systems are being used to create and edit documents. Interactive computer graphics are being used to manipulate graphics in the display. Integrated systems have been developed to implement communication and processing of text and graphics [5,8]. Interactive image processing is needed in an office document system to enhance and to scale scanned pictures into a desired page format.
