Abstract
The alternative splicing of neurexins (NRXs) and neuroligins (NLs) has been implicated in specifying synaptic connections. In this issue of Neuron, Koehnke et al. took a structural approach for assessing the contribution of alternative splice isoforms for β-NRX/NL-mediated synaptic recognition.
