Abstract

Proper setting of packing-holding pressure is important to injection molding quality. Influences of different types of packing profiles on part weight, shrinkage, flash, thickness distribution, and evenness are studied. Recommendations are made for specific improvements of these quality attributes by a proper profile type selection and determination.
