Abstract

An overview is given of recent research progress in developing a unified numerical algorithm capable of solving flow over a wide range of Mach and Reynolds numbers in complex geometries. The algorithm is based on the pressure correction method, combined treatment of the Cartesian and contravariant velocity components on arbitrary coordinates, and second-order accurate discretization. A number of two- and three-dimensional flow problems including the effects of turbulence, combustion, and compressibility are presented to demonstrate the capability of the present algorithm.
