Abstract
Change is a constant in life, but it can be frightening and difficult to deal with on both organizational and personal levels, especially sudden change. The situation in Hong Kong in the past year has required HKUST Library’s staff to show adaptability and reliance to support HKUST’s move to almost completely online teaching and learning. In this talk, the speaker will share how HKUST Library staff rose to the challenges presented by the events of 2019-20. She will discuss library communications (internal & external); staffing; changes to the Library as Space; Access Services; Collection Development; Systems; Resource Management; Information Instruction; and Research Support; all marshalled in support of the university’s mission for teaching, learning, and research.
