Abstract

This paper presents a equalization method to equalize the short burst without the aid of the training sequence in wireless mobile environments. This method is suitable for low-overhead and short burst TDMA systems such as PACS whose frame is very short. In this paper, we also present a dual-mode blind equalization algorithm and discuss various blind equalization algorithms. In order to improve the system performance, we consider the use of two branch antenna diversity. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method along with the dual-mode blind equalization algorithm is feasible.
