Abstract

Previous studies showed that there is a positive cosmological constant in the universe. Compared to the Planck or the electroweak scale, the constant is many orders of magnitude smaller than expected within the context of ordinary gravity and quantum field theory. A solution to this cosmological constant problem is proposed. In this solution, the cosmological constant becomes exponentially small compared to all the other scales in the model.
