Abstract
A hierarchical framework is presented for evaluating the impact of various device design parameters on the performance of MOS circuits. Various circuit classifications and the circuit parameters that are most important for that particular application are defined. As an example, the optimization of the design for analog circuits is considered, addressing the circuit performance parameters of gain, bandwidth, signal swing, and noise.
