Abstract
A rearrangeable broadcast switching network is proposed. Under the condition that the number of the outlets (customers) is much larger than the number of source inlets (video channels), the network noramlly has fewer switching nodes than other approaches. It can be modularly constructed, is easily expanded, and is easily routed. This network is well suited to directional-coupler photonic switching technology.
