Abstract

The objective of the Galileo spacecraft modal test is to verify the analytical model for loads analysis. The associated pre-test analysis is described and the design of the modal test based on the pre-test analysis results is explained. The methodologies used in the performance of the test including the excitation system and data acquisition system are described. The data reduction and modal parameter extraction are mentioned.
