Abstract

This book describes a design procedure to optimize the performance of brushed DC motors. The core structure of the stator and the rotor are designed by JMAG software, respectively. In addition, the effect of field patterns on the characteristics of brushed DC motors are analyzed. We tune the output power of brushed motors by monitoring the iron-loss, copper-loss, revolution speed, back EMF and efficiency ...etc. This book suggests technical guidelines to upgrade brushed motors to meet specific applications.
