Abstract

The synthesis and properties of three classes of model NLO chromophore-functionalized high-Tg polymers which test current ideas regarding architecture-Tg-χ((2)) performance relationships are described. The three classes of such polymers are as follows; (a) bismaleimides with diallylamino-functionalized donor-acceptor chromophores, (b) 0,0′-diallylbisphenol A with bismaleimides, and (c) a bis(4-aminophenyl) lophine chromophore with bismaleimides.
