Abstract

The structure of OLED devices has evolved from the basic bi-layer structure with a single organic hetero-junction to the more complex multi-layer structures with multiple organic heterojunctions and various layer compositions, producing remarkable gains in both current efficiency and operational stability as a consequence. Several key OLED device structures and the underlying effects on the electroluminescent characteristics will be discussed in this presentation.
