Abstract
In this paper, we study the observability of the two-stream parallel-flow heat exchanger equation with boundary inputs and two temperature measurements. For a class of initial values and inputs, we obtain the exact observability. It is also shown that the system becomes unobservable if only one fluid temperature is measured.
