Abstract

A polymer stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) is introduced. With the expose of UV light, the doped monomer formed a polymer network and thus stabilize the FLC working in electrically suppressed helix mode. Therefore, we are able to achieve a high contrast ratio, fast response and low driving voltage display.
