Abstract
This paper presents an investigation about the potential usefulness of polynomial normal transform technique for uncertainty and reliability analyses of civil engineering systems. Results from the performance evaluation of the polynomial normal transform under various conditions have indicated its good capability in preserving the characteristics of many distributions commonly used in engineering reliability analysis.
