Abstract
The usage of a galvanometer for providing fine tracking capability for an optical flying head is explored. Some potential R/W and servo problems may be created with such an approach. The source of these problems are analyzed, and a method of how to suppress these problems is proposed. The method we propose can also greatly improve the performance of the galvanometer system.
