Abstract
The tidal circulation in a coastal bay was composed by an unconditionally stable semiimplicit finite element model and by a well established ADI finite difference scheme. Model predictions are presented for a series of representative simulations. A verification was also performed. It was found that accurate imput tides are needed to simulate the propagation of the complex shallow water tides in the bay. (A) (Microfiche)
