Abstract
Modifications of alkylation, chlorination and Vilsmeier reaction were employed for the synthesis of aromatic aldehydes bearing nitrogen mustard derivatives and halogenoalkylpiperazinyl. Thus seven new aromatic aldehydes were synthesized from commercially available aniline and phenylpiperazine by the modified method. All of the desired compounds were characterized by MS, IR, 1H NMR spectra and elemental analysis.
