Abstract
Assesses the duties of the directors of Chinese or Hong Kong companies in terms of Confucian ethics, particularly when the firm has been made the subject of a takeover bid or a scheme of arrangement or is otherwise experiencing turbulence. Calls for the development of a Confucian code of corporate governance.
