Abstract

In this paper, the thermal stability of the gray-scale levels on the optical rewritable (ORW) electronic paper is checked by heating the 10μm-gap cell with different temperatures at 80°C, 100°C, 120°C, 140°C and 160°C for 3 minutes respectively. It shows that the gray-scale levels on ORW will return to the previous state after the above mentioned cell temperatures cool down to room temperature, which shows a memory effect. The detailed experimental procedure will be stated and discussed.
