N2 - To accurately model rainfall-infiltration-runoff process it is desirable to simultaneously consider the interactions between surface and subsurface water flows. The flow behaviors in two flow domains are functions of surface boundary roughness and subsurface soil-water characteristics which are random by nature. This paper conducts uncertainty and sensitivity analyses of flow behaviors based on Akan and Yen's lD-surface/2D-subsurface model considering random nature of surface roughness, hydraulic conductivity, porosity, and other parameters describing soil-water characteristics. An example is used to demonstrate the methodological framework.
