Abstract

Universal topological properties of two-dimensional trivalent cellular patterns of soap froth and computer generated Voronoi diagrams were analyzed. A cluster analysis based on the shell model and generalized Aboav-Wearie law for the average number of cell edge distribution was introduced. Effects due to a different physical or mathematical process generating the cellular pattern were found to be very local.
